Dear friends and supporters of Juniorfest, The role of Director of the Juniorfest International film festival for children and young audiences carries immense responsibility.

The festival is not just a place where audiences watch high-quality films and take part in accompanying events. Above all, it is a safe and inspiring haven where children and young people can find respect, express their opinions, and be truly understood.

This year, Juniorfest has come of age. Eighteen editions have left behind hundreds of stories, thousands of children’s smiles, and countless inspiring encounters. Next year, we will enter our nineteenth edition, and it is an honour for me to work alongside the team that has elevated Juniorfest to the ranks of significant festivals, to ensure that in the years to come it remains a place where children and young people are treated as equal members of the audience, and where film professionals from across the globe can find common ground within our Industry program.

I step into this new role with humility, with respect for what has already been built, and determination to move the festival forward. I aim to bring outstanding films to our festival cinemas and support stories that have the power to resonate with young audiences. I believe films are keys that unlock other worlds—worlds where viewers learn imagination, empathy, and courage. I look forward to welcoming all our visitors, who year after year give us purpose and motivation.

For me, Juniorfest is a promise that we will continue to do things with heart—that we will remain a bridge between audiences and creators, between countries and between generations, and that we will connect films with the world of our viewers in ways that leave a lasting mark. And that we will stand firm in our belief that quality films can help our audiences change the world.
