Seminar for Educators on Film Education in Schools
The first in a series of unique seminars for educators on the topic of FILM EDUCATION IN SCHOOLS has just been held. The seminar, fully booked with educators with open hearts and minds, was imbued with the promise of new trends and teaching possibilities.
The introductory lectures on methods and techniques for integrating film and audiovisual education into the curriculum were given by Jiří Forejt, M.A., Ph.D., a dramaturg at Film and TV School of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague, at FREECINEMA, and at the Association for Media and Audiovisual Education.
Following this, Tereza Nová, B.A., creator of pedagogical materials for Juniorfest films, introduced the participants to the creation of teaching materials for children and adults. They had the opportunity to analyze the story, perceive details, and more with the film "Tony, Shelly, and the Magical Light."
In the afternoon session, Lucie Hlavicová, M.A., chairwoman of Association for Film and Audiovisual Education, focused on educational tools for teaching film. She demonstrated how books and multimedia portals can be effectively used in teaching.
